Position Overview
Bcomp Ltd. is a young and dynamic Swiss company specialized in natural fibre composites.
We develop, produce, and supply natural fibre reinforcements and preforms with high specific stiffness, for applications in the sports & leisure, motorsports, marine, aerospace and
large-scale automotive industries.
The R&D department needs support to produce and test material samples, research, develop
and validate new or existing material solutions and processes. This may involve being assigned to a long-running development project with important responsibilities and / or smaller
supporting tasks for the R&D team.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
- B.Sc. (or equivalent) in Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Interest in composite manufacturing and materials science.
- Knowledge and understanding of standard test methods for composites.
- Some experience in workshop tools handling is a plus.
- Driving curiosity for independent problem solving.
- Structured way of working with an ability to handle many projects in parallel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. French or German is a plus.
We Offer
- 1’500 CHF / month gross salary (pro rata).
- 2.5 weeks paid vacation for 6 months (pro rata).
- High level of expertise to learn from and progress on composite manufacturing, testing, design, life cycle analysis, etc.
