Position Overview
Bcomp Ltd. is a young and dynamic Swiss company specialised in the development, marketing and sales of natural fibre composite solutions for high-performance applications. With a background in the sports industry, and after establishing ourselves in motorsports, we are now focusing on growing our presence in the mobility market. We develop sustainable lightweighting solutions based on natural fibres in close collaboration with our customers, in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial working environment.
The R&D department is looking for an intern to strengthen its team and become a reference in the large-scale mobility market. This position may involve being assigned to a long-running development project with important responsibilities and / or smaller supporting tasks for the R&D team.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Conduct research and stay up to date with the latest sustainability regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
- Gather, track, and analyze customer sustainability requirements.
- Perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) for customer projects and internal initiatives
- Compile and enhance greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, including improving data quality and supporting third-party verifications.
- Develop comprehensive sustainability reports (e.g., on finance, innovation, or impact), and contribute to content creation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support various cross-functional activities such as IATF and ISO 14001 compliance, B Corp certification, supplier assurance processes, and due diligence for investors and regulatory bodies.
- Coordinate and support different functions to gather data and ensure fulfilment of sustainability projects (Scrap management, Mobility plan, Emissions reductions and offsetting, etc.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
- B.Sc. (or equivalent) in a relevant field (eg. Environmental science, engineering, sustainability or related disciplines)
- Strong analytical skills: quantitative e.g., GHG emission calculation, LCA
- qualitative e.g., market research
- Genuine interest in sustainability and solid knowledge of key topics (e.g., regulations, reporting frameworks, metrics)
- Knowhow about sustainability (regulations, reporting, metrics)
- Proven ability to coordinate projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving skills
- Self-driven, curious, and eager to learn
- Ability to multitask, adapt to evolving priorities, and work with incomplete or uncertain data

- 1’500 CHF / month gross salary (pro rata)
- 2.5 weeks paid vacation for 6 months (pro rata)
