Swiss sustainable materials company Bcomp has announced its support for Grégory de Sybourg-Siffert, the 22-year-old racing driver from Fribourg, as he builds his career in endurance racing.
This story begins in Fribourg, with two names that made their mark on the racing world…
Grégory represents the exceptional motorsport talent emerging from Swiss and European karting championships. As the grandson of Jo Siffert, the legendary Swiss driver whose name is etched in the history of Formula 1 and Le Mans, and the son of Véronique Siffert, who competed in the Rallye Aïcha des Gazelles, Grégory comes from a long line of Swiss racing drivers, all hailing from Fribourg.
It’s the kind of legacy that could easily ‘become a shadow’, but Grégory has chosen instead to embrace it as his starting line. Since climbing into a kart at just seven years old, he has made immense progress. Today, he competes in LMP3 of the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), one of the most competitive endurance championships in the world, with the ambition to drive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in LMP2 in 2027.
Bcomp is a Swiss cleantech company that has been proving for years that a small, ambitious team from Fribourg can compete, and win, on the international stage. Grégory is now achieving something similar in his discipline. The company is supporting Gregory as he writes his own story, following a journey that closely resembles Bcomp’s own: making an impact, from Fribourg, race after race.

About Grégory’s career so far…
Grégory’s motorsport journey began when he received his first kart at just seven years of age. Over the following eight years, he competed in various Swiss kart championships, earning podiums and victories. In 2021, he fulfilled a dream by driving a single-seater for the first time, then started racing prototypes in the Sprint Cup by Funyo in 2022.
The following year, he raced a NOVA NP02 in the Ultimate Cup Series championship with DIMAB Motorsport, seeing multiple podiums and finishing second overall. This led to an opportunity with the FK Performance team and BMW in the ADAC GT Masters, racing a BMW M4 GT3 throughout 2024, as well as a WEC rookie test with WRT.
2025 saw Grégory race in the Michelin Le Mans Cup LMP3 class, facing the intense competition of a 45-car grid, with Bretton Racing for the first half of the season and Virage for the second, including the realisation of a childhood dream: a place on the grid for the opening race of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. A successful 2025 season saw Grégory move into ELMS in 2026 with his current team, Racing Spirit of Léman. powerRibs™ is a proprietary three-dimensional reinforcement grid made from flax, inspired by the vein structure of leaves.
