Bcomp is pleased to announce its continued collaboration with GR Bass, Italian music amplification specialists. Global leaders in lightweight, high-performance speakers, the Bari-based company recently expanded its line of speakers constructed of natural products, including ampliTex™. The speakers deliver the same high-quality sound and clarity without the weight of traditional wooden speaker cabinets or the environmental impacts of carbon fibre construction.
The speaker’s structural housing, or chassis, is made completely of natural products. The inner and exterior surfaces of the chassis use layers of ampliTex™, injected with water-based resins, that sandwich a layer of foam manufactured from recycled water bottles. In addition to lower production-related emissions, the panels offer end-of-life options, as they are recyclable.
While being the lightest speakers on the market, the natural fibre speakers also offer a vintage look that is reminiscent of 1960’s chic. This is created by the unique weave and lay of the ampliTex™ technical fabrics, which give every speaker an earthy colour and organic feel.
Originally introduced by GR Bass in 2022, the expanded line of natural fibre speakers will be showing up on major stages across North America and Europe, as well as in smaller venues and the living rooms of discerning and environmentally conscientious musicians.
