We have achieved remarkable progress on our product portfolio during the last months. The new developments and our products will be presented at the JEC AMERICAS Composites Show and Techtextile North America which will be held in Houston, Texas. Visit our booth # 16 26 and book your meeting here.

We are exposing the following fruits of different collaborations:

The new generation of powerRibs™ make composite shell elements lighter and simultaneously cut costs. A joint project with the tooling specialist Georg Kaufmann Tools resulted in a novel thermoplastic molding technology for automotive interior parts, for which the powerRibs™ have been awarded the JEC Innovation Award 2015 in the category mass production. In the framework of our collaboration with the Swiss Space Center and the European Space Agency (ESA), the unique combination of high stiffness- and damping properties of powerRibs™ / carbon plates has further been demonstrated. ESA’s Technology Readiness Level 4 has been reached. In the meantime a first concept for the thermoset-based mass production of such structures has been developed.

Furthermore, our product vision of a fully recyclable and bio-based natural fiber composite material has been achieved at prototype level. Together with university partners (FHNW & KU Leuven), we have developed a cellulose based thermoplastic polymer perfectly fitting our technical ampliTex™ fabric range. The resulting material displays extraordinary impact strength and fracture toughness.
