At Bcomp, our commitment to the planet goes beyond environmental protection to encompass the people living within these ecosystems. Our flax fibre is sourced from established European flax trade, supporting rural communities and long-standing agricultural know-how. This year, we wanted our end-of-year charity donation to reflect this deep connection between sustainability and the communities that make it possible.

We are proud to support Trees for the Future, an organisation that confronts hunger, poverty, and environmental degradation by empowering farmers at the heart of global food systems. Their work is focused across five countries in sub-Saharan Africa: Uganda, Kenya, Senegal, Mali and Tanzania. Through hands-on agroforestry training and sustainable land management practices, Trees for the Future helps farmers and their families reclaim their agency and break cycles of climate change and generational poverty. Farmers generate new income streams by growing and selling a diverse range of products, including fruit, vegetables, seeds, honey and soap.

Recognised by the UN as a flagship for restoration, Trees for the Future has planted over 370 million trees since 1989, restored 41,000 acres and supported nearly half a million people. Their ambitious goal to plant one billion trees by 2030 aligns closely with Bcomp’s mission to build a more sustainable future from the ground up.

Participating in global sustainability is a shared responsibility. As a company dedicated to high-performance, sustainable products, Bcomp integrates eco-friendly solutions throughout our operations and supply chain, empowering customers to maximise sustainability across their product lifecycles. Supporting Trees for the Future is a natural extension of this commitment to care for both the environment and the people who steward the land and grow the raw materials we depend on.

As we close out 2025, all of us at Bcomp extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have contributed to our journey and sustainability efforts. We look forward to working together toward to create meaningful, lasting change in 2026.
