The electric performance car brand Polestar announced its collaboration with Bcomp as a part of next steps to reduce the carbon footprint of future production models. By using innovative materials such as Bcomp’s natural fibre composite solutions, Polestar can reduce plastic content and cut weight in its interior panels.
For Bcomp, the collaboration with Polestar brings together two brands with shared values towards sustainability and marks an important step into the large-scale automotive industry.

Bcomp’s ampliTex™ and powerRibs™ technologies could turn natural fibres into lightweight, safety conscious interior panels for future Polestar production models, aligning well with Polestar’s commitment to build on meaningful sustainability in all it does, from electric powertrains, using innovative new materials, to promoting supply chain transparency through the implementation of blockchain technology.
