While our collaborations take us around the globe, there’s something special in teaming up with Swiss neighbours who share our dedication to sustainable innovation, particularly in skiing, where Bcomp’s journey first began.
Just down the road from our main office is Movement, one of Switzerland’s most forward-thinking snow sports companies. As specialists in lightweight, high-performance skis for freeriding, freestyle, and touring, they focus on innovative materials and eco-friendly production processes. Their latest ski collection, the SEQUENCE Series, now features ampliTex™, bringing a new level of performance and eco-conscious design to Movement’s skis lineup.
This collaboration is about more than proximity, it blends the innovation of two Swiss companies and their shared passion and commitment for sustainability, performance, and – naturally – skiing. Together, we leveraged Bcomp’s bio-based technologies to enhance the feel and performance of Movement’s newest line of high-performance, versatile models, that have been designed for skiers of all skill levels and mountain conditions.
The SEQUENCE Series, with four hybrid models, is part of Movement’s new Freeski Program, offering skiers a vast playground for exploration. The Freeski Program includes three categories: Gravity, Hybrid, and Elevation, offering options to suit every preference.
In the SEQUENCE Series, Bcomp’s ampliTex™ technology was optimised to deliver unparalleled stability, control, and comfort, whether navigating groomed trails, backcountry slopes, or deep snow. Thanks to significantly better vibration damping properties than fibreglass and carbon fibre, Bcomp’s highly engineered flax fabrics deliver a smooth ride experience with less fatigue.
Alex Pittet, Product Manager at Movement, commented: “Collaborating with innovative Swiss companies like Bcomp is crucial for us, as it enables us to strengthen our commitment to sustainable innovation while embracing a global perspective. By harnessing Bcomp’s cutting-edge flax-based technologies, we are not only supporting the regional economy but also joining forces to deliver high-performance products that resonate with our shared values on a worldwide scale.”
Patrick Vuagnat, Sports & Leisure Manager, added: “Teaming up with our longtime neighbours at Movement is a natural fit. Their openness, innovative spirit, and technical expertise enable them to unlock the full potential of flax in ski performance and highlight their commitment to making a real difference in ski design with natural fibres.”
